The Fabulous Food Show is Friday through Sunday at the I-X Center in Cleveland, with plenty of food, wine, chefs, books, displays, demonstrations and free samples.
Food Network chefs appearing at the Main Kitchen Theatre are Giada De Laurentiis, Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, Anne Burrell and Cleveland's own Michael Symon.
There's also a Grand Tasting Pavilion for wine, spirits and beer; Restaurant Row, where chefs will sell food and provide demonstrations; Sweet Street for chocolate demonstrations and tastings; a Taste of the Neighborhood Stage featuring local chefs; and a Market Place featuring more than 200 vendors.
This year there's a newly expanded Farmers Market area, and Sweet Street has added a new Cake Walk featuring seven local pastry chefs and bakers.
Single-day tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. The show opens at 10 a.m. each day and closes at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Laura Taxel, author of Cleveland Ethnic Eats, and writing coach Dianne Jacob, author of Will Write For Food, are leading two-hour workshops on Friday and Saturday morning for aspiring food writers and bloggers. The Friday workshop is for chefs, food and hospitality industry professionals, and media veterans. The Saturday workshop is open to the public. Workshop tickets are $50, which includes show admission, and must be purchased in advance.
